Finshed-the end yaya!
Yes it’s done. It might not be the greatest website but l’m pretty proud of it.
Not to sound like l’m sucking up your arse but l actually really enjoyed this unit and l’m going to make a proper website for myself later in the year.

Web Hosting
I started web hosting today, l’m using Crazy Domain just because it seems safe as you use it. However l had a bit of a problem as orginally chose the domain name www.winter-irving.com.au, however l quickly found out that need a registered business name. So they rejected that and l changed it to www.winterirvingdesign.com and everything works sweet.
CSS Breakthrough
My CSS was truely battling before but today l watched the week 7 lectures which helped extemely. I’m now pretty much sweet with my CSS and have a grip on the whole assessment. I’v about 80% done.

CSS Battle
I’m truley battling with the CSS, l’v read the text however it just seems to confuse me more.
Website Html
My website HTML is complete. It did not take long as l’v jut used the dreamweaver Wisywig. My site has a home page obviously, and 4 linking pages for artists, info, tickets and sponsors. I’m about to add a snapshot of my html

The last 5 screenshots are to show how all the sites use a main logo or text and link to main page.
5th site.
This site is http://www.congobrava.com/
This is the most different to the others in the fact that is uses a very unique image grid system, however is still has similar functions opposed to aesthetics. It uses a large image as the home page link instead of a background image.
4th Site
The next is http://www.oppermann-it.de/
This page is very similar to the others. using large images and simple text. Like the China site it uses a distinct home page image which then flown onto more information.
This page is in German so l could not really understand it, however the graphics of the page a very intersting and it also uses a good grid system for the type.
3rd Site.
My third site is

Again uses a large simple image and easy too use horizental links and text. This site like all the others has no scoll down on the first page, to find info you must click on a link. This helps to keep the page simple.
2nd site.
My second refernece site is

Again this site uses the function of keeping links at the bottom of the page, allowing the viewer instantly to know where to look. This site also attracts the audience with a large central photo.
These site also are simple yet very effective. There is only text and photo’s, no annoying pop-up’s, and flashing adverts.

I like the opening page of this site. The large background image attracts my attention straight away and l think l can use this technique for my music festival website.
This site also uses large images as backgrounds...

Added Links
I just added a lot of links with sites that interest me for my design aesthetic. Most are from recommended sites from the unit outline. I’m pretty keen to try something minimal with a large background picture or maybe something with ink splatters. Hopefully as l get better with my blog l can list all the links on one post.

2nd Blog
After a quick glance at the other bloggs l’v decided mine is shit and l need more crap on it hence this 2nd post. I’m also going to change the theme. Eat that Hugh! Ha
UC Web Design and Production- Blog 1
Today l started by blog on Tumblr. After 1 minute of research into blogging sites off the recommended list, l chose Tumblr because it seemed the best designed- l’m a Graphic Designer. I’v added a song and this post and am about to reseach music festival sites. This is my first blog so please excuse the shit-ness of the writing.
